Project lead, Tom Gable, got to witness the aftermath of a wolf kill out on a frozen lake! Opportunities to observe wolves out in the open for an extended period of time is very uncommon in northern Minnesota.
One of the most iconic creatures in the Greater Voyageurs Ecosystem - the beaver! Beavers don't often make an appearance during the winter, and one of our technicians was quick to capture this individual bounding through the snow. -- Alex Gross
